Super hearty and delicious beef noodle soup!
The soup is rich and packed with umami and just the right pinch of spiciness!
The noodles are the perfect consistency and have a filling bite to them!
The restaurant is generous with the amount of beef they give you, which is broiled to a perfect tender cook!
The entirety of this dish is super yummy and I can't wait to go back, especially in the winter cuz this is for sure one of those meals that warm you from the inside out~!! -

What comes out of the kitchen is truly Asian. Given their name, you can't visit and not try their braised beef noodles with brown sauce ($9.95). A sizeable bowl arrives filled with thick doughy noodles and generously sliced pieces of tender beef. While the noodles don't appear to be the hand pulled variety, I like their firmer texture and the broth is strongly flavoured - salty and with a hit of heat - to hold up against it.
Add on a "one-person" combo and a plate of vegetables and it's more than enough food for three people. The combo is an amazing deal, for $9.95 there a variety of dishes to choose from, each arriving with a bowl of steamed rice and a large bowl of diced vegetable, tofu, and mushroom soup (it could use more salt).
The three cup chicken in casserole pot arrives with that signature caramelized ginger and onion aroma. Well braised, the chicken has a stronger rice wine taste than expected: after all, the sauce made from equal amounts of soy sauce, sesame oil, and the rice wine. Indeed, the generous portion of sesame oil does mean the sauce gets a little greasy, but also makes for a fragrant dish, especially when combined with the ginger, garlic, and Thai basil.
Similarly, the General Tao chicken is a heaping plate of lightly battered diced chicken that's barely coated with a sweet and savoury sauce - despite looking bare, the flavours were rich enough. Using the darker leg meat, instead of chicken breast, helped deepen the dish and keep the chicken moist.
On most visits, a plate of garlic stir fried A choy ($8.95) completes our meal. The stir fried greens look rather limp and lifeless but has a nice crispy texture and smells of wok hay. -

Beef noodle soup quality is consistent. It tastes very good, same as I remembered from few years back.
The restaurant serves a variety of Chinese southern and northern dishes, so it feels like it doesn't specialize in any particular dish. The kung pao beef tasted very similar to twice cooked pork. So even when I took out the portions that we couldn't finish, there was no point in using two different containers.
The mixed cold appetizers were on point. Especially the flavored tofu curd was awesome.
Don't know why the restaurant has two dollar sign, because it's fairly cheap. Well worth the price that was paid. Should be one dollar sign. -

I didn't realize I had such a close "beef noodle" restaurant so close by and decided to try it out. The restaurant is on the corner unit on the side of the plaza, it's definitely run down, and feels very old school. We went straight for the most popular item "beef noodle soup" + the green onion pancake beef rolls. Verdict ? The noodles were thick and had a good bounce to it, the soup was quite flavourful. I'm a big fan of Mei Nung Beef Noodles, so this bowl wasn't exactly up to par, but it was a good temporary fix. 3 stars because it is in desperate need of a renovation fix.

It's been years since I came back here and the taste is still the same! I had the beef noodle soup with brown sauce, green onion pancake with pork and hoisin sauce, sweet and spicy eggplant on rice and another popped rice dish with seafood and green peppers. I don't really know the exact names lol. Their noodle soup is definitely a must here and their most popular dish. I would recommend all the dishes I got. I generally enjoyed everything.
For the beef noodle soup, you get about 5-6 pieces of beef with a piece of bokchoy that's been cut in half. There are a lot of noodles (thick and chewy) so the portion is huge. Only complaint is the amount of MSG in this so be warned! The pancake is relatively small and could use more pork for sure, fresh green onion and hoisin sauce. But the taste is good. The eggplant is a sweet, yet slightly sour and spicy dish with pork. Lastly the popped rice tastes great. If you love popped rice this is your dish. There is also some scallop and cuttlefish along with mushrooms, green bell peppers, onion and such.
The waitress here was very friendly as well. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was about less than half full. It was quite empty even though we came around 8pm. Definitely check out this place!
